Phone carrier lookup API

Free programmatic access to the same lookup used on the website. No API key required. Intended for light automation, demos, and AI/tooling integrations.

Query parameters

• phone (required): international number in E.164 style, e.g. +12125551234

Response fields

• country: English country name
• country_code: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 region code when available
• region: area / locality description when available
• carrier: carrier / network name when mapped (may be empty)
• number_type: mobile, fixed, or unknown
• is_valid: whether the number matches numbering-plan rules

Error responses

• 400 — invalid phone number: {"error":"Invalid phone number"}
• 403 — geo restricted: {"error":"...","code":"GEO_BLOCKED"}
• 429 — rate limited: {"error":"Too many requests, please try again later"}
• 405 — method not allowed

Rate limits

About 30 requests per IP per 60-second window (best-effort on serverless). Back off on HTTP 429.
